Kaitlin Kirby is an interior designer and interior architect in the Washington D.C. area. Trained at Virginia Tech and shaped by early years in hospitality and commercial design, she has spent the past several years directing design and interior architecture for a leading Northern Virginia residential studio, guiding luxury projects from first sketch to final styling.

Her work is grounded in materiality: stone with movement, timber with honest grain, unlacquered brass that will wear in beautifully, pattern with a past. Rooms are drawn at full scale, detailed for the trades who build them, and styled for the people who live in them.

She is also a professional photographer, which changes how she designs. Light, composition, and the view from the kitchen sink get the same attention as the floor plan.
